Morning run

Today’s run was a bit more difficult than yesterday. There is more of a challenge in the route I decided to take this morning. On my way back, it climbs a little for more than 1 km. I’m proud that I still completed it. Just a few weeks ago, I would have walked more but not today. I wanted to test my legs too. Usually, I take at least 1 day off between my runs and I’ll do something else instead. It was only on the last interval that it was difficult to complete it.

It was also sunny this morning. Initially, it was calling for rain. A nice surprise for my birthday! haha It’s getting more grey outside this afternoon. I’m sure we will get some showers at some point. At least my run is done when it was sunny and not too warm.

You can see this morning’s summary. I’m on week 3 of Ease into 5K. I have a 5K that I want to do on September 15. I hope I’ll be ready to complete it all by running. Next week, I’ll test how long I can go without walking.

  • DISTANCE- 3.37 km
  • DURATION- 34m:05s
  • AVG. SPEED- 10:07 min/km
  • MAX. SPEED- 5:56 min/km

  • AVG. HEART RATE- 152
  • MAX. HEART RATE- 184

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Bonne fête Canada! Happy Birthday Canada!

What a great day. Perfect temperature for all activities.

I started with a run this morning. It felt great. I did almost 4kms in 34 minutes. This week, it’s 5 intervales of 4 mins run with 1 min walk with a warm up and a cool down. It was nice to do it outside again and my first one in Beresford.

After shower and lunch, my mom and I went to get mémère Bertin and we went to the beach in Beresford. There were some speeches, the raising of the flag and eating cake. We even got a small flag and a small pin. There were also activities for kids: castle building in sand, painting on rocks, etc. Also, 2 guys did the singing: Rémi Boudreau and Jonh Boulay (we only saw Rémi since John was just going later).

At about 3pm, we left. It was nice to see family and friends. We did bring back mémère back to the Résidences Lavigne and we went to Bathurst afterward.

We did go see what was at Coronation Park. A lot of people were on their way out. We did one lap around the music and left.

Now for supper… We went to Jobie’s mobile kitchen. It’s new to Bathurst this summer. They are at the causeway usually. It was my second meal there. I took the burger and slaw for my first visit. Today, I took the pulled pork sandwich with fries. OMG it was good. The sauce, slaw and meat were a great combination. The pork is really tender and has a great taste to it. If you come to Bathurst this summer, it’s a must…

There are a few tables next to the truck or on the other side of the road. We did eat there. It’s next to the new boardwalk so we are close to the water. Again, it was perfect temperature to eat outside. We came back to Malybel after and started to put our decorations outside. Now, it’s relaxing time before going back to work tomorrow.

Well tonight I will be watching Bachelorette and the show in Ottawa for Canada Day.

Erika 🙂
